President Goodluck Jonathan will begin a two-day official visit to Addis Ababa on Friday to participate in an Extraordinary Session of the AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government.
A statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati in Abuja on Thursday stated that the session has two main items on its agenda.
They include the consideration of Progress Report on the Implementation of the Assembly’s Decision of May 2013 on International Jurisdiction, Justice and the International Criminal Court.
The other is Election (by the Executive Council) and Appointment (by the Assembly) of a new Commissioner for Peace and Security.
The statement added that the President would be accompanied to Addis Ababa by Sen. Emmanuel Paulker and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Adoke (SAN).
Also in the President’s entourage would be the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Nurudeen Mohammed.
Abati said the President would return to Abuja at the conclusion of the summit on Saturday. (NAN)
The question is in the midst of the various strikes and issues on the home front, where the heck are they going to and what is as "Extraordiwehre" as what is happening in Nigeria
